A Level Results 2017

We are delighted to announce a set of excellent A Level results:

38% of entries were graded A* - A
72% of entries were graded A* - B 
90% of entries were graded A* - C 

Particular congratulations to Saffy Ahmad, Graeme Stephens and Charlotte Edmonds all of whom have earned places at Cambridge to read geography, maths and law, respectively. Their success is a school record for successful applicants to Oxbridge.

AS Level Results 2017

32% of entries were graded A           (2016, 30%)
56% of entries were graded A–B      (2016, 58%)
79% of entries were graded A–C      (2016, 79%)

GCSE Results 2017

43% of entries were graded A *-A
70% of entries were graded A*–B
94% of entries were graded A*–C

  • The percentage of students achieving five or more higher GCSE grades including Maths & English = 92% (3rd best on record)
  • The percentage of students achieving the English Baccalaureate = 56%. The Baccalaureate is achieved where a student accrues higher GCSE grades in Maths, English Language, two sciences, a modern foreign language and a humanity.

These results rank Gordon's  one of the highest-achieving comprehensive school in England.
