Next Race: National Final Sunday 30th June @ Milton Keynes Daytona track.
Zak Fulk, Marcus Smith and Samuel Hudson will be representing Gordon’s in the regional final next week. Pete Given narrowly missed out on a spot on the team after a race off between all the boys.
Gordon’s entered 4 teams into this year’s BSKC (British Schools Karting Championship.) For the first time we had a Y9 team as well as one Y11 and two Y12 teams.
BSK Regional Final at Milton Keynes
Another great day on the asphalt for the Gordon’s School karting team which culminated in Gordon’s having a representative in the national final of the BSKC for the third year running!
It couldn’t have started any better with team captain Zak Fulk setting the standard by starting at the back of a 14 car grid, weaving and shimmering past the opposition to a 2nd place. Other members of the team – Samuel Hudson and Marcus Smith were not to be out done both achieving podium finishes after starting near the rear of the field. It was left to Zak to seal second place overall on the day with a win when the heavens opened and the track became more like an ice rink. His greater race experience allowed him to over and undertake while the other teams were left foundering in his wake.
Onwards and upwards for the Team. The National final is on Saturday the 30th June, again being held at Whilton Mill race track.
