Remembrance Sunday Parade 2015

Remembrance Sunday Parade and Service on Sunday 8th November 2015.

Over 1,500 guests, made up of parents, family and former students, attended the Remembrance Parade and Service on Sunday 8th November at Gordon’s School. Pupils at the school marked the occasion with the annual Remembrance Day Parade in their Blues uniforms, the school’s ceremonial uniform, and marched to the accompaniment of the School’s Pipes and Drums band. Reverend Denis Robinson, the School’s Chaplain, gave the address, while wreaths were laid in remembrance of the Gordonians who lost their lives in the two great wars and in subsequent conflicts. As a state boarding school, popular with many forces families, the event is one of the more poignant in the School’s calendar.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old.

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun, and in the morning.

We will remember them.
