New opportunities to make a difference

Gordon’s has come a long way since 1887 when the first “necessitous lads” marched behind their band from Brookwood Station to the brand new site in West End. The original Home was established through the generosity of private donors spurred on by the our then Patron, Queen Victoria. Gordon’s School has developed and grown in many ways over the years and is now one of the most successful non-selective state boarding schools in England.

Ambitions for the future

Gordon’s School has big ambitions, not only to develop the existing site but to take the Gordon’s education and school model beyond the gates. The ability to fund future investment is key to the future of the school, not just through resources that enable us to deliver a first class education, but also in widening access to the school and its facilities to those, who are unable to afford the opportunities boarding at Gordon’s provides, much like the original “necessitous boys”. Support from The Gordon Foundation alone cannot realise our ambition for the future. Therefore support from the wider Gordon’s community is crucial; be they parents, Governors, Gordonians, staff or just well wishers and locals.
