The Sixth Form

Welcome to our Sixth Form pages which we hope will give you a taste of what is on offer both inside and outside the classroom in Years 12 and 13.

The Sixth Form experience is the summit of Gordon’s School.  Through their studies, activities and successes in many fields students are enabled to develop into confident, articulate young men and women ready to make a significant contribution to the world.  High academic standards are a given but our focus is on enabling individuals to meet their personal as well as academic potential.  The pastoral and social aspects of Sixth Form life are an excellent preparation for life in higher education and employment, with an emphasis on developing leadership and teamwork skills, as well as self-motivation and time-management in a busy boarding environment.

You will find on separate pages on this website a short guide to the Sixth Form curriculum with a description of AS and A2 Level options, together with an outline of how we help with study skills, independent learning, careers guidance and university applications.  You will find we also have a wealth of extra-curricular activities and leadership opportunities including an extensive range of Sixth Form Sport, Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme Expeditions, Music and Drama productions and university taster lectures.

We hope you find the following information useful and look forward to meeting you on your visit to see us in action.  If you would like to book a place on our next full tour, visit during a working day or request application information please email our Sixth Form Admissions Tutor, Mrs A Gray: agray@gordons.surrey.sch.uk.

We look forward to meeting you soon.
