Gordonian Award Winners 2017

The Gordonians are delighted to announce the presentation of this year’s Gordonians awards for Sport and Creative Arts.  The Gordonians were impressed with both the quantity and quality of the applicants this year which made the selection process particularly tough.  For the first time this year, the Music award was expanded to include Art & Design, Photography and Drama.  Jay Tamsitt, Chair of the Gordonians says, “It is clear that the School is developing and nurturing some fantastic sporting and artistic talent.  We wish all the applicants much success in their ongoing efforts and were impressed with the way they presented themselves during the interview process.”

The eventual winners, who went through both a short-listing stage and a panel interview were: Maisy Ellis (Sport) and Eleanor-Rose Prince (Music).  Congratulations to you both and to China House, we look forward to hearing about your progress both within and outside of the School.

Footnote: The Gordonian awards are awarded to Y11 students who demonstrate excellence in either Sport or Creative Arts and who are themselves great role models both within and outside of School.  The awards are worth up to £1,000 each, paid over 3 years towards the costs of pursuing their discipline.
