Through our enrichment program we offer Saturday Science sessions where pupils are encouraged to go beyond the bounds of the curriculum, undertake complex practicals and design their own. Including working with displacement reactions, microscopes, silver nitrate and copper. This is not just limited to the pupils, Mr Barron de Burgh designed the following Christmas Chemistree, with the help of a Y11 student, who encouraged him to show resilience and try again for a third attempt. Many other individuals, teachers and schools are now emulating our success and the tweets has been retweeted by Chemical Institute of Canada and liked by the Royal Society of Chemistry in London, with numerous schools posting replicas.
