"Murders in Soho" - A Guided tour

Date: Sunday 5th November 2017
The walk starts at Piccadilly Circus and finishes near to Tottenham Court Road we have some 12 stops and cover some 30 murders  including three serial killers.

An Evening of Indian Cuisine

Date: Thursday 16th November

Time: 6.30pm to 9.30pm
Join us for an evening with Saf Ismail who will be giving an Indian Cooking demonstration in our Food Tech Room

Christmas Make and Take    

Date and Timing: TBC

We will show you how to create your own Christmas wreath and centrepiece. Once you have made your own wreath and centrepiece Rebecca will demonstrate how with a few fresh flowers you can turn your centrepiece into something extra special for Christmas Day.

Golf Day at Worplesdon Golf Club

Date: Friday 2nd June 2017
We are pleased to invite you to join us at our Gordon's Golf Day which is being held at Worplesdon Golf Club on Friday 2nd June.

Worplesdon Golf Club, near Woking and Guildford, Surrey, is a private members club featuring a well maintained heathland golf course which is recognised as being a great test of golfing skills with fair protection being provided from its heather, its bunkers and the defining woodlands.
 


Insect and Butterfly Walk on Horsell Common

Date: Sunday 16th July 2017, 2pm start

Lee Slatter and Geoff Eaton from the Surrey Branch of the Butterfly Conservation Society will be exploring the different butterflies and insect which can be found in our local area.

 


Chocolate Truffle Workshop     

Saturday 18th March 2017

A chocolate workshop run by Aneke Spacie who owns the local Water Edge Cafe on Heather Farm in Horsell.


Private Tour of Royal Holloway, University of London

Sunday 9th April 2017

We have been lucky to secure a private guided tour of Royal Holloway College which was founded by two social pioneers.

Private Tour of Loseley Gardens

A wonderful evening at Loseley Park courtesy of Gordon Foundation Trustee and host, Micheal More-Molyneux. Heritage Open Day 2015

Sunday 13th September 2015
Gordon's School was delighted to be involved with Heritage Open Days for the second time this year celebrating the school's unique history and heritage. Groups of visitors were led around the site on tours which included the Chapel, the Library and the statue of General Gordon on his camel which was renovated only last year.


Autumn Walk and Fruit Tasting at RHS Garden Wisley

Saturday 17 October 2015, 2pm
A group of Friends of Gordon's joined us for a beautiful autumn stroll through RHS Garden Wisley followed by a fruit tasting session led by Gardener and Gordonian, Bernard Boardman. Christmas Canapés with Simply Dine

Monday 2nd November 7pm to 9pm – Food Tech room at Gordon’s

Forget sophisticated finger food that requires hours of rolling, baking and finishing and go for simplicity when planning your canapé menu. Friends of Gordon's had a wonderful evening at Amanda Beavis's Simply Dine canapé demonstration sampling a selection of simple but beautiful canapés which will help every Christmas party go with a bang!


Photography Courses

January & February 2016

Our School Photographer, Ron Campbell, ran some fantastic Photography Workshops throughout January and February involving sessions in anything from getting to know your camera settings to improving  your photoshop abilities! Ron will be offering more workshops to Friends during the Summer Term 2016.


World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), The Living Planet Tour


Tour of Brookwood Cemetery

Date: Wednesday 6th July 2016
After the success of last year's Brookwood Cemetery Tour, this time we will be visiting and learning about the Military side of the Cemetery.
