We are pleased to announce the opening of three exciting additions to Gordon’s School from September 2011:
McQuillen Sixth Form Centre
This is adjacent to China House and has provided a much needed focal point for the 6th Form at the heart of the school. In addition to top floor study spaces, the first floor offers collaborative work spaces for students and small-group teaching areas. The ground floor houses a meeting room, social space and open study area, in addition to a base for Miss Connery and her team.
Art Studio has been created in the space vacated by the school shop which has been re-housed across the road near the new astro-turf. The Studio brings the fine work of the art department to the heart of the school. With a new façade, the new art room offers a dramatic venue, filled with light to showcase student work.
Food Technology has been re-introduced to its original venue behind the Chapel, next to the Medical Centre. Initially on offer in Key Stage 3 and Period 6, food technology, with 16 cookers and a separate preparation area is proving to be a popular addition to the curriculum for Gordons students'.
