Year 7 crowned District Rugby 7’s Champs!

Gordon’s School Year 7 Rugby 7’s team win this year’s District tournament,  unbeaten in the process.

Gordon’s School Year 7 Rugby 7’s team won this year’s District tournament and were unbeaten in the process. After half a term of training under the expert eye of Mr Campbell the team had the chance to put what they had learnt into practice. This they did brilliantly and played some great rugby, beating:

Collingwood 4 tries to 2 Tries

SJB 3 tries to 0 tries

Woking High 4 tries to 0 tries

Winston Churchill 2 tries to 1 try

The last game v Winston Churchill was the final, as both teams had gone through the tournament unbeaten. Gordon’s started brilliantly scoring 2 tries in the first 3 minutes and then held on to claim the title.

Players of the tournament were Jack Bodell in the backs and Theo Lee-Clarke in the forwards. This caps a rugby double for the year group, as they are also the 12 aside rugby district champions too.
